The Swimmer

The constant way of mention alcohol makes you think that they use the drink to express some lack of something. When they say "I drak to much last night", "It must have been the wine" describes ow the characters behave during the story. All characters talk about how they feel while they are drinking and everyone sees it in a different way. They also use alcohol in a way to socializate or for some of them it was not the way they saw it.

The main character talks about seies of pools where he socializates. The way in which he uses the pool as an excuse to drink make a remark on how he use every oportunity to drink and get lost. He get lost because he he thinks he does a variety of things, but it didn`t happen. The pool is other way he uses to socializate.

I knew a woman by Eudora Welty

I really don't like this poem because was a very erothic poem because in any moment the author was talking about the sexual moment for example "she taugh me touch and undulant white skin."
But was a men in love  because she said "love like a gander, and adores a goose."
But i like this phrase " what's freedom for? To know eternity."
Because for me i think this phrase is trying to tell us that he don't want freedom of he had eternity with her.

A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner

I like this poem because i like when at the end of the story the neighbors find a death body in the second floor in the house of emily an the body was from Homer and in his hand had a pice of emily's hair.
But what i understood of the poem was that she do all that things because she was alone after her father death, and she was never alone because her father was with her in every moment.
And thats why she kill homer because he doesn't want to stay with her.

The birthmark
Well this is not a common story because of the couple. They are a couple of a science man and a lovely woman that has a birthmark. The husband dont  like the birthmark and constantly tryies to take away the mark. Also the husband is a controller person and want her to obey everythong he says.

This also tell you how the persons should noy obey everything they are told. You should defend the person that you are and dont leave someone to change you. And most important of all accept what you get and be proud of it. Like in the story when the husband tries to remove the birthmark and she didnt say anything and that was the problem
Sinner in the hand of an angry god by Jonathan Edwards

This is really srtrong because this can ake you feel fear with the words. This poem makes you feel the power of god towards people. This makes everyone think in how dimitues we are towards all things that happen in the universe. The poem is a direct message of gods power and also gods mercy.

This also talks about the limits that humans have. Like in "mens can rise the their hand but they are nothing at gods power ". This is a complete example of how the author wants to imply the power of god toward humans. The author is able to do it because the text makes you think of what we are able to do and waht is over our limits.
The Cruicible

The main problem of the story is that no matter what kind of deception it wont be justified
The reason for not permitting any kind of deception is that trying to lie to court or commit a crime
is seriously punished. This is explained with “If Elizabeth confesses that you committed adultery
pray for god´s mercy”. Because the crime is adultery and no cheat will be accepted in his court. If
the proves show that no matter is you are helping the town, if you cheat or lie like in the case of
Abigail you will receive the correspondent punishment.

The proves that you present will make the person that lies receive the punishment. Like what John
Proctor says “I´ve known her “ which will be the prove that is needed to punish her. That will show
the radical change in the movie of believing everything to Abigail to began to question what she
said. That make a radical change to the ending of the movie.
Song to Myself

This is a very large poem to read it complete. What I was able to undertand in the part that I had to read is that is one part of his life what he was trying to explain. "I heart the sound of love..."That would mean that he will listen some things that people is are not able to hear because they dont want to. That make the person more sensitive than other because he is ready to hear anything with no exceptions.

Other thing impresive was that he wont criticise anything. "Now I will do nothing but listen" (Whitman, 1030) is a clear message of attention. This is because he will be able to hear anything without complies and wiyh all the attention that can be possible like if that would be any problem. This will be shown as the age of growing up and madure.
